A Holistic Approach to Health

Callum and Max are Bristol residents who are proud to offer principled and traditional chiropractic care in their local community. With a successful practice in Wiltshire and many patients travelling from Bristol, they wanted to offer a permanent space for Bristol residents to continue accessing excellent SOT care. Since Tadhg has joined the team both Max and Callum have reduced their appointment hours but are still available for bookings.

Our mission is simple: a holistic approach to health centred on the nervous system. At Harley Place Health Centre, chiropractors Callum Larcombe and Max Bento provide holistic hands on care, helping your body express better function. Your experience of your own body should be far from aches, pains, tension, and lethargy, it should be a complete sense of physical, mental and social wellbeing.

Callum Larcombe, MChiro, LRCC

Dr Callum adjusting patientCallum’s own introduction to chiropractic began in Devon, where care for his own headaches, digestive issues, and knee pain revealed the body’s remarkable ability to heal once nervous system interference is removed. This experience shaped his enduring belief that health can be restored without reliance on drugs or surgery—by working with, rather than against, the body’s natural healing capacity.

Callum believes that a doctor’s role is not only to help you but to broaden your understanding of the body. Whether with patients or with his family and friends he is happy to help you understand the chiropractic approach to health — guiding you on how to best support your body both when symptoms are present and when they’re not.

Shaped by his personal experience with chiropractic and his time in clinical practice he is comfortable managing a range of health presentations from everyday discomfort and tension to complex disorders. Callum will focus on giving you insight into how your structure and nervous system may be contributing to your health complaint and how best this can be managed.

Max Bento, MChiro

Dr. Max adjusting patient armsMax developed the understanding that healing comes from the inside-out from an early age. He grew up in a family that primarily used traditional chiropractic care, in conjunction with a generalised holistic approach to life, to address all aspects of health. It was not until he was older that he realised having only visited the GP twice in his lifetime that this wasn’t the norm. This is what led him to chiropractic.

Max takes great care in sharing that deeply ingrained appreciation for wellbeing with those around him. Whether it is with his own family, his friends, or his patients, Max carries the broader aim of helping those who seek his care navigate their own health challenges at all stages – before, during, and after symptoms arise.

When it comes to clinical practice, Max is more than happy to help you solve simple aches and pains. He will help you take the steps to understand the issue, and how to keep those issues from coming back. When it comes to complex problems, Max will take time to help you understand the chiropractic approach to health, and where chiropractic might support you in your health journey.
